چکیده
The design of a railway catenary is subject to multiple decisions regarding the geometry system. In particular, horizontal contact wire determines evolution wear and strip over time. obtained through stagger, lateral displacement at supports. value length span, curvature track, train speed within span determine which point between pantograph moves from side side. A wider stagger corresponds larger area distribution strip. However, also important due sliding contact. Thus, affects point. this paper, study effects on presented. findings include model effect recommendation for lower limit 330 mm/s. • Wear models are needed overcome uncertainties lack field measurements. Study on Friction and Wear Properties of Pantograph Strip/Copper Contact Wire for High-Speed Train
A series of experiments on friction and wear properties of carbon strip rubbing against copper contact wire is performed on high-speed friction and wear tester with electric current. The results show that the friction coefficient is generally maintained between 0.24 and 0.37. In the absence of electric current, the coefficient of friction is higher than that in the presence of electric current....
متن کاملHigh-speed railway pantograph and catenary dynamic simulation system modelling and verification
The dynamic simulation system of a pantograph and a catenary has been built by using the finite element method, in which the pantograph is equivalent to a threemass-damper-stiffness system and the catenary contains only cable and beam elements. Considering droppers as nonlinear elements only stressed by tension, a sliding contact model of the pantograph and catenary is coupled by penalty functi...
متن کاملDynamics and Control of a High Speed Train Pantograph System
High speed trains permit faster travelling between long distance destinations, making it an easy and comfortable way of travelling. The pantograph is the element of the train that collects electrical current from the cable system above (the catenary), to the train motors. The contact force variation can cause contact losses, electric arc formations and sparking. This deteriorates the quality of...
متن کاملPantograph-Catenary System Modeling Using MATLAB-Simulink Algorithms
Contacts between pantograph and catenary are the most critical parts in the transmission of electrical energy for modern high-speed trains. Contact wire oscillations change combined force between pantograph and catenary, and the contact may even get lost. Therefore special pantographs and catenaries have been developed and further constructive changes are under development. A design criterion i...
متن کاملA Three-Dimensional Calculation for Dynamic Pantograph-Catenary Interaction
Dynamic pantograph-catenary interaction is one of the most critical aspects to consider in catenary design, especially in high-speed rails. It is essential to maintain a constant power transmission in order to achieve high speeds and avoid the production of electric arcs, which damage the wires. This paper shows a tool, called InDiCa 3D, based on a three-dimensional model to solve the dynamic p...
